If you’re looking for the perfect tropical houseplant, look no further than Asplenium Nidus, the Bird’s Nest Fern. Known for its wavy ripple-edge fronds that grow out of a central rosette, this plant will add a vibrant pop of green to any space. We love it because it’s considered non-toxic, making it safe to keep around your furry friends.
The rosette is fuzzy where the emerging fronds resemble bird’s eggs – hence the common name.
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out halfway down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Do not water directly into the centre of your fern, but instead, water around it.
Tolerates average indoor humidity. Prefers high humidity.
The average home temperature of 65°F-75°F. If you’re comfortable, the Bird’s Nest Fern is comfortable.

Your plant's pot should have holes in the bottom so it is able to drain water easily.
If reusing a pot that had other plants in it, it is recommended you wash the pot, killing any mould or bacteria.
Do not over water your plant as the roots will rot.
Most plants need to be kept by a good source of natural light.
You should fertilise your plant every two months. You can use all purpose fertiliser.
Any dead or fallen leaves should be removed to prevent bacteria and mould. Dead branches should also be removed.
